We now have all of our normal roads open. We are out about 6 miles and have many side roads in between. Fishing has been good this year. Catch rates seem to be pretty even from the bay and all the way out to the gravel. Ice thickness is around 20” in most places so we are allowing all vehicles and fish houses. Please keep the speeds down to about 10 mph with vehicle traffic. Good luck fishing. ... See more

ICE report Wednesday, January 22. We will be allowing all size vehicles and wheel houses and taking out all size houses to road I. We are working on the road to Hennepin today and expecting to be moving houses there tomorrow as well. The ice thickness seems to be hanging in the 18 inch range including the slush ice. So we will continue to require people to drive slowly this year. The bite overall for the year has been pretty good. This last weekend was a little slower around the storm then I expected. Hopefully this weekend with some more stable weather it will pick back up again. We will not be to the gravel this weekend, hopefully this next week See you soon. ... See more
January 7th Ice report The slush that we had all over is freezing up pretty well. Still have some but we are getting on the right side of it. We are putting rentals out now and will take some smaller privates out for the weekend but no vehicles. Side by sides ATVs snowmobiles only. We have a crack coming off hawkbill point between road B and C hopefully that heals fast. With the forecast looking colder we should start pulling most of the houses next week. Thank you for being patient. Ice thickness varies and quality varies quite a bit out in front of the resort. Mostly there is 7”-10” of good ice with another 2”-8”of slush ice on top of that. Fishing has been pretty good. Still catching some Walleye and Northerns in the bay. Hawkbill reef has been good and people running out to the gravel has been good also. Sucker minnows have been working very well. ... See more
